Award-Winning Missoula County Property Information System by GCS
GCS is proud to have developed the Missoula County Property Information System, which received the ESRI 2010 Special Achievement Award for its innovative approach to land parcel management. Located in Montana, Missoula County is the state’s second-most populous county, home to over 100,000 residents and covering approximately 2,600 square miles, making it the twenty-fourth largest county by area.

“I must say I have participated on other development teams for projects and I have never before witnessed the skills, talents and energy put forth in such a strong collaborative effort as what this team accomplished AND brought the project reasonably in on time and on budget”.
– Doug Burreson, Mapping/GIS Supervisor,
Missoula County, Montana

Transition from ArcIMS to ArcGIS Server
Originally built on ArcIMS technology, the Property Information System was designed to help users easily locate land parcels within the county. When Missoula County sought to enhance its capabilities with ArcGIS Server, they turned to GCS once again for a next-generation solution. Our expert team successfully migrated existing data and functionalities to the latest technology, ensuring a seamless transition for both the county and its users.
