A leading weather services company, contracted with GCS to implement ArcGIS Cloud Services on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This project included the design and deployment of ArcGIS Cloud System Architecture, ArcGIS Server Enterprise implementation, ArcGIS Cloud Managed Services, and Cloud GIS Analyst Services.

Comprehensive ArcGIS Cloud System Architecture and Design
GCS provided ArcGIS Cloud System Architecture and Design tailored for organizations migrating existing GIS systems or building new GIS solutions in the cloud. Through a detailed assessment of weather companies requirements, GCS conducted discussions and evaluated cloud design alternatives. The result was a comprehensive Cloud System Architecture Design document, offering specific AWS cloud configuration recommendations to support Baron Weather’s operational needs.
ArcGIS Enterprise Implementation on AWS
Once the cloud architecture was defined, GCS executed the ArcGIS Server Enterprise implementation by configuring ArcGIS GIS Services and integrating them with the customers existing datasets. This setup enabled a seamless transition to a cloud-based GIS production environment.

Managed Services and Full Life Cycle Support
GCS provided ArcGIS Cloud Managed Services, including:
- Change management
- Patch management and security monitoring
- Backup services
These managed services ensured the infrastructure remained secure, efficient, and operational. GCS offered end-to-end support for the entire lifecycle of the customers GIS infrastructure, from provisioning and implementation to ongoing management.
Cloud GIS Analyst Services
To further support the customer, GIS Analyst Services were provided as needed. This included data migration, data transformation, and optimizing ArcGIS workloads in the cloud.
